Energetics – Electricity Perspectives, the specialized journal of the Bulgarian Electricity System Operator (ESO), includes an article highlighting the role of Artificial Intelligence in the energy sector and ESO’s participation in the European project GRAVITEQA.
The article explores how AI technologies are transforming power system planning, operation, forecasting, and cybersecurity across Europe. Special focus is placed on the GRAVITEQA project, which brings together partners from Bulgaria, Greece, and Spain to develop innovative solutions combining Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Gravity Energy Storage for more reliable and sustainable electricity networks.
As a project partner, ESO contributes expertise, operational data, and technical knowledge to support the development and validation of advanced tools for renewable energy integration, grid flexibility, and real-time network management. The article also outlines the strategic role that ESO can play in supporting future AI infrastructure and accelerating the digital transformation of the energy sector.
