New Technical Reports and Factsheets Are Now Available
GRAVITEQA is pleased to announce the release of four new technical reports, presented in factsheet format, highlighting key developments and outputs from the project’s research and innovation activities.
The new technical reports cover different areas of the GRAVITEQA technology portfolio, reflecting the project’s multidisciplinary approach to supporting the energy transition:
- Holistic Methodology for Circular Decommissioning of Abandoned Mines and Coal-fired Plants using Gravity Energy Storage – presenting a methodology for repurposing existing infrastructure for large-scale Gravity Energy Storage and assessing its technical, economic and environmental potential.
- Quantum & Quantum-Inspired Computing for Load-side Flexibility Orchestration and Optimal Facility Allocation – presenting quantum and quantum-inspired approaches to flexibility management and the optimal allocation of renewable energy facilities.
- LCA/LCC Evaluation Tool for the GRAVITEQA Technology Stack – presenting a combined Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Cost evaluation tool for assessing the environmental and economic performance of the project’s technologies.
- AI-based Breakthroughs for T&D Grid Operation and Maritime Electrification – presenting AI-based solutions for grid flexibility estimation, demand forecasting, port-asset scheduling, seaport electrification planning and edge AI inference.
Together, the four technical reports provide an overview of the technologies and methodologies developed within GRAVITEQA, their potential benefits and applications, their current development status, and the next steps towards validation.
The reports are now available through the GRAVITEQA website, providing stakeholders and the wider research and innovation community with access to the project’s latest technical developments.
